WebOS TV Iconagraphy
The WebOS TV OS, like many other operating systems, required a lot of icons. In some cases we used general standard designs, but in many places we felt we could be more creative by coming up with unique metaphors. This helped us add another layer of personality to the overall product. In the end, and with a lot of push back from corporate, we came up with a set of icons that were a combination of general metaphors, like the wifi icon, as well as some unique icons, like the browser “www” icon. Who knows? Maybe some of these will be the future standards :)
